On Wednesday I was able to meet my World Vision sponsored
child.  Her name is Senelile.  To all the world vision skeptics out there
yes the organization is real!  I thought
it would have been funny if the girl looked different than the picture I have
of her.  World vision picked me up that
morning and we drove out to Sithobela, Swaziland.  It was about an hour and a half drive.  I bought them some groceries on the way at a
shop.  I spent a couple hours at their
homestead and got to meet Senelile.  I
enjoyed the visit, and luckily the people at world vision translated for
me.  The family was really shy, and I
think Senelile may have cried after meeting me.
I guess they don't see a lot of white people around out here.  Plus why wouldn't a stranger be scary!  After awhile though she opened up to the idea
of sitting with me.  I gave her some
candy, and said good bye to the family after a little more small talk.  Overall it was a pretty good day.  It was neat meeting the family, but I have
had the amazing opportunity to meet families that have much less than their
family.  If you get the chance to visit a
child you sponsor we should definitely talk before you do it….lol.  They did have some cool community projects
going on.  They raise hundreds of goats
and I think every couple years the family gets a goat.  There are food rations that are also passed
out sometime each month.
