What an incredible weekend thus far.  Friday was our day off and we went to a mall that was about an hour away.  In the morning, I was able to catch a ride into town so that I could send a few letters out and use the cheap internet.  The whole town lost power for some reason, but I was still able to get most of my internet stuff done and my letters sent out.  At 1pm, we left for the mall.  This is mall is not an ordinary one.  It has ice skating, a movie theatre, and a bowling alley.  Since I really didn't need to buy anything, I had a relaxed day.  With a group of about fifteen, I went ice-skating for a little over two hours.  After that, I finished my internet stuff, and went to meet some of the gals for dinner at this pizza shop.  We managed to get one game of bowling in after that.  We all had really low games, but I did manage the highest score.  We were at the mall for about six hours.  It was a long time for a guy like me to spend in a mall.  I do love ice skating and bowling a considerable amount though.  The awesome part was the brotherhood that we shared during the day.  I really appreciate the time the Lord gives me each day for accountability with my brothers here.  I was just thinking that I really have never been a part of intense accountability.  I mean don't get me wrong all you guys at Nabor House have kept me inline when necessary.  I doubt I will ever forget the sendoff that my best friends gave me on September 11 of this year.  These guys here ask me the tough questions.  If I tell them the Lord is leading me a certain way, then they will make sure to ask me twice a day how it's going.  It is amazing to me to see how He is growing me over here.  I would not be nearly as focused if my brothers here weren't encouraging me and pouring into me.

The next two days were astounding.  We spent the majority of the morning on Saturday planning for a program in Attridgeville.  We got there about 2 pm and began meeting people in the congregation.  They had a keyboarder and a drummer, and several choir members.  We sang many Zulu songs with them (or we tried to at least).  It was the first Charismatic Church I had been too.  There was dancing, about two hours of worship, and testimonies in between.  Aville has quite a bit of problems with alcohol abuse so earlier that day I put together a line dance and taught three others how do it.  The song was "Walk a Little Straighter Daddy."  Our dance was one of those things that we would do for the congregation if they wanted some guest performance.  Well it happens that they did want some guest performance.  There were only three of us there and we danced for them.  Almost everything we practiced we performed.  They had a discussion part of the service.  We talked about what you will do if you are confronted by Satan.  Will you confront him or will you flee?  My point of discussion was the Armor of God in Ephesians 6.  It was amazing to speak in front of this afternoon service.  There were a lot of great points on both sides of the discussion.  The crazy thing is that we had been for over two hours and the only reason they stopped was because it was getting dark.  As you can imagine we were all really pumped by the service.

Sunday was even better to be honest.  Our church service wasn't, as you would expect to go in the states.  It lasted a little over three and a half hours.  I have always struggled with silly church time limits.  Basically, if the church service lasts longer than an hour than people start to gripe or everybody starts to sweat until church is out.  Well this service began with almost an hour and forty-five minutes of corporate worship.  The service was under a tent and the house was packed.  Everybody was dancing and praising the Lord.  I'm not sure if I've ever felt a place that much on fire for the Lord.  I'm so blessed to be following Him.  At the end of the service, the minister Steven wanted one of us to speak in front of the congregation and he chose me to speak.  When he pointed at me and said, "Oh I like this guy, he dances well", I thought that I might as well go praise God in front of my new brothers and sisters.  After church, my teammates and I got to meet a lot more of the congregation.  I am sad to say that this weekend we won't get to attend this church again.  Nothing against the church services we have here though.  The rest of our Sunday was pretty relaxing.  I like to reflect on what the Lord has done or is doing in my life on Sundays.  It is my day with Him.  I really like not having television, movies, and video games.  Honestly when I go back to the states I doubt I watch a drop of television (except for NFL on Sundays).  Besides sports updates I have not missed television at all.  I wonder how many hours this summer I wasted watching television.  My daily quiet time here is devotionals, meditating on the verses I'm reading through, and just praising the Lord for what he is doing in me.  I know that the Lord has great plans for us when we're obedient to His Will.
