As this summer began I was so blessed by God to work for a small corporate cleaning company, where the owner, Paul, is a devout Christian, and my boss, Tammy, is also a devout Christian.  As I began working there they both treated me with so much love and respect.  When they learned more about God's plan for me in the fall they were both really excited.  This story begins last week when my boss Tammy told me about a national speaker that was coming to her home church in Comargo.  She said that he was hard to book and had some sort of handicap.  I didn't know all the details because of my not so wonderful memory, but I did believe that something great was to come of this man's testimony.  This weekend was already so richly blessed as God revealed to me the truth about my brother's faith and that Brett was dancing on the streets of Gold again.  Brett and I picked up my friend Kevin, who is also in the Acts biblestudy that Jared and I lead this summer.  We were all pretty excited as we drove to Victory Christian on July 1, 2007. 

   When we arrived at the church (about a 40 minute drive), Tammy welcomed the three of us to a front row seat that was open even though the rest of the church was full.  Worship that morning was wonderful, emotional, and glorifying to Christ Jesus.  As Tammy led us all in worship and praised are God she was so touched to see all the seats filled at church.  Like me God had whispered to her what was to come in the next two hours of testimony.  The spirit was burning in me that morning as I watch the head pastor introduce "David Ring".  As Mr. Ring walked up the isle to the pulpit I noticed he walked with a severe limp and when he began to talk he talked with a slur.  After being introduced he stood in front of the whole congregation and began his testimony for Jesus Christ and set out at war against the evil one!

   David first mentioned that he was born dead with a lot of brain problems.  When they saved his mom on the table, they came to move his lifeless body 18 minutes later and suddenly he woke up to the world.  David was born with Cerebral Palsey.  As he grew up he had an awfully hard time in school, at home, and with life in general.  His mom did everything for him.  Soon after some elaborating he mentioned that his dad died of cancer when he was 10 or so.  Life went on for David, though it was harder not having his father around.  One day when he was 14 he said his mom got sick with cancer.  He told us that he prayed "Lord please don't take my momma who cares so much about me and takes care of me", "Lord she is all I got in the world, if you love me don't take her away."  6 months later his mom passed away from cancer.  He said after that he became depressed, went to school and everybody kept making fun of him for his handicap.  He had one sister that encouraged him to go to church or something like that.  

   When he went in the church he talked to the minister and kneeled down and said a prayer accepting Jesus as his Savior and telling the Lord that he was available to Him even though he would be nearly useless with his handicap.  The next few days at school the jokes stopped and David became the most popular kid in school.  He became vice president of his class that next year.  The pricipal asked him to give his testimony in front of the whole school and he spoke about the gift of Jesus Christ in your heart in front of the whole student body.  The doctors said David would only live to 30 and he is now healthy at 53.  They said he would never ride a bike or drive a car and he does both today.  The doctors said he would never have kids and he has 4 beautiful kids and a beautiful wife that loves our Lord Jesus.  He has spoken to over 6,000 churches about his testimony and is also a minister.  Praise God for this miraculous man that God had so many great things planned for before he was even born.  May you all be blessed enough to see God speak through this man to you.  I have never heard a speaker and felt God's presence more.  May you all pray for this ministry.  Also, I'm taking off for a wedding around Nashville this weekend.  If you could all pray that I make it safely that would be appreciated.  I really just wanted to share a brief summary of this miraculous story with you and hopefully I will be able to talk to you about it soon in person.  Only 10 more weeks all....GET PUMPED!
