We began Sunday with morning prayer at the beach at
7am. It was incredible to praise His name
on the beach with my whole team. After
prayer, Ben and I went to search the tidal pools (water pools formed in the
rocks when the tide goes out). About the
second pool we went to we found a two and a half foot octopus. Ben and I caught it in my Croc and celebrated
for a minute on our trophy ;) After we
released our catch and searched the rocks for another hour, we went back to our
place for some breakfast. The sun was
sure beautiful over the Indian Ocean! I
sure had a lot to praise Him for the morning at the beach. Two of the guys on our team were in charge of
church this week. My teammate, Ben, was
in charge of preaching this week. The
Lord spoke incredibly through Him. We
talked about the story in 2 Chronicles about a story of a king from Judah
(Jehosaphat, which I'm sure is spelled wrong).
Ben talked about the 4 P's to prayer.
There was Praise, Promise, Problem, and Please. He said the prayer in Chapter 20 I
believe. It was another great church
service and I'm sure y'all would have enjoyed it. The rest of the day was mostly a free day.

We went to the beach at about 11am and wow was it a
beautiful day. All the guys on our team
raced out to the water and hit the waves running. I spent a couple hours swimming and bouncing
up and down off the waves. I only
swallowed a couple liters worth of salt so it wasn't a big deal. Who knows it could have boosted my low sodium
diet. Some of the guys on my team tried
surfing and wake boarding. I never got a
chance at it, but I know my turn will come soon. I'm ready to try surfing, and am hopefully
I'll pick it up after a couple tries.
Can you imagine me on a surfboard, and possibly getting a tattoo while
I'm down here (not set in stone yet, but it could spontaneously happen on the
right day off). The beach was
amazing. I love the Indian Ocean, and
I'm sure most of my team got sunburned.
It was a really fun couple of hours.
The rest of the day I chilled with most of the guys on my team. We all read a little bit, took a nap, and
enjoyed some quiet time.

That night we went to a church service that was ran by the
local bible school (I think it was a bible school anyways). I met several South African's at church. My friend Ty volunteers at the Sunday night
service, and it was awesome seeing him tear it up on the guitar during
worship. We heard three testimonies from
some of the recent graduates that were soon on there way home. One was from South Africa, Nigeria, and another
country I can't remember. It was neat
hearing their different testimonies. The
main speaker gave a sermon on your life changing today. The main point was "what difference
would you make for the Lord's Kingdom, if you knew that you would never fail
again." I mean come on the Lord is
always faithful to His Word. What would happen
to your boldness and fearlessness? You
would do things for His kingdom that would knock down trees. The boldness of your voice would shatter
glass. We weren't perfect, which is why
God sent Christ Jesus here. Even if you
fail, you have to have faith that witnesses to the sovereignty and control that
the Lord Jesus has over your life. Live
without fear friends. Don't be a slave
to form of bondage. The service went
really well, and it was great to meet some new South African friends.
